MediaCom promotes Nick Thomas to national head of investment
WPP AUNZ agency MediaCom has today announced the promotion of Nick Thomas, currently head of marketplace, to national head of investment.
Thomas will report directly into CEO Willie Pang, and will work closely with Clare Butterworth, who was recently appointed interim general manager of investment in lieu of a replacement for chief investment officer Nicola Lewis being appointed.
It was announced last October that Lewis would be returning to Europe to become the global chief growth officer for the agency’s addressable TV business, Finecast.
As national head of investment, Thomas will sit on the executive committee and will oversee all of MediaCom’s investment activity nationally. His new remit will now include partnering closely with Minsun Collier, the agency’s national head of digital. He will also be responsible for driving the agency product, talent, and culture.
Thomas began his journey with MediaCom in 2012. During this time, he has worked with an array of world class marketers included Foxtel, IKEA, P&G, KFC, Universal, Volkswagen, Victorian Government, and for the last 3.5 years, has lead the Sydney investment arm of the agency.
Earlier this month, MediaCom unveiled its new agency proposition: moving forward, the network will help clients ‘See the Bigger Picture’.
To this end, Willie Pang, CEO MediaCom AUNZ said of Thomas: “His promotion is very well deserved and is a testament to our internal talent development programs and our People First, Better Results ethos. 2021 is truly going to be an exciting and transformative year for MediaCom”.
Thomas added: “I want to continue to put our clients at the forefront of everything we do, to drive better results and continue cultivating market leading talent.”
