Mediacom wins Penrite from Starcom

Media agency Mediacom has picked up Penrite Oil’s $2m media business for Australia and New Zealand which was previously held by Starcom.  

Brendan Bourke, GM of the 85-year-old brand said: “We conducted a review of our media buying arrangements and Mediacom came out on top as they listened and really tried to understand our business and our requirements – they did not try to use a one size fits all approach which we appreciated. We are looking forward to a long and fruitful relationship with Mediacom as our business partner.”

Philip Phelan, MD of Mediacom Melbourne, said: “We are excited to be working with such a thriving and growing business and look forward to adding our strategic and communications muscle to help it grow in 2011.”

Penrite’s creative will continue to be held by OMG!.
