Melbourne radio ratings: SCA’s Fox FM regains its lead in drive

Fox FM’s drive time offering featuring Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little followed by Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes and Kate Langbroek has surged back into pole position thanks to a 0.5 point increase in the first radio ratings of the year.

In the previous survey, 3AW equalled Fox FM with an 11% overall drive audience share.

This ratings period, with data provided from GfK, ran from January 20 to March 2.

In the FM breakfast ratings battle Fox FM yet again led the pack, with Fifi Box, Brendan Fevola and Byron Cooke providing a 0.7 point increase from the previous survey to 10.2%.

Smooth FM’s Jennifer Hanson and Mike Perso dropped 1.1 points, falling to the third FM position behind Triple M.

Triple M’s ‘Hot breakfast team’ with Eddie McGuire, Wil Anderson and Luke Darcy gained 0.1 points to 8.4%, coming in second on the FM dial.

For the AM stations, 3AW was yet again the most popular breakfast station overall with a 19.9% share.

ABC Melbourne grew 0.1 points to a 10.1% share, while Macquarie Sports Radio did not appear in the breakfast slot at all – an asterisk denoting it had too few listeners to appear in the survey.
