Melbourne’s DPR&Co wins Vision Australia

Vision Australia has handed its advertising account to Melbourne-based digital agency DPR&Co after a three way pitch for the business.

The agency, which has handled campaigns for Honda Mowers, Sportsbet, Australian Unity and Ambulance Victoria, said it was looking forward to developing a digital and off-line strategy for the not-for-profit.

‘The move comes after Vision Australia completed a rebrand and prepares to offer the blind and vision impaired greater access to services.

Vision Australia trains seeing eye dogs and offers a range of other services.

Agency principal Phil Huzzard said their was an opportunity to tap into the work Vision Australia did with the blind and vision impaired to spread its message.

“We’re also finding that more and more clients want to be able to de-risk integrated creative ideas that drive demonstrable results. Our team was able to give the Vision Australia team the confidence it needed,” Huzzard said.

“They are going to provide a deeper level of services to blind a low vision people and there will be a greater requirement of engagement of that group and their carers.”

Megan McAlpine, Vision Australia’s chief marketing officer said collaboration was a an important factor in handing the business to the agency.

“We think the DPR& Co team’s understanding of our business and the importance of our relationship to so many Australians with blindness and low vision will underpin a successful relationship,” McAlpine said.
