smoothfm announced that Melissa Doyle will be heard in Drive for two weeks from Monday 30 June.

Melissa joined smoothfm in October last year to host her own weekend breakfast shows on Saturdays and Sundays from 6am to 10am. One of the most popular and trusted faces on Australian television, Mel earned a loyal following as co-host of Seven’s Sunrise for 14 years, and is now a news presenter and journalist with Seven Australia.

While some of smoothfm’s regular announcers take time off during the two week radio survey break, listeners will be in good hands with Melissa for their drive home.

Rohan Brown, smoothfm Program Director said, “Listeners are loving Melissa’s weekend breakfast shows. She’s the perfect fit for the smoothfm brand and the survey break has given us a great opportunity for a new audience to hear Melissa for their drive home.”

Melissa Doyle said, “I’m really looking forward to sitting in the drive seat on smoothfm for the next few weeks. Hopefully we can make that drive home from work a little easier with some great music!”

smoothfm’s announcers will return to their regular shows on Monday 14 July with Mike Perso hosting Melbourne’s breakfast show and Bogart Torelli heard in breakfast in Sydney, Ty Frost in mornings, Simon Diaz in afternoons, Byron Webb in Drive and Cameron Daddo’s Mellow Music easing listeners into their evenings.

Melissa Doyle will be heard from 5pm to 8pm weekdays on smoothfm 95.3 in Sydney, smoothfm 91.5 in Melbourne and around the country on DAB+ from Monday 30 to Friday 11 July.
