MercerBell Bolsters Strategic Leadership Team With Two New Senior Hires

Continuing to enhance its offering in the customer experience (CX) space, MercerBell is pleased to announce the appointment of Brad Bennett as executive strategy director. The news follows the hire of Jo Gascoigne, who joins the expanding team as the new Melbourne-based strategy director.

Bennett arrives at MercerBell, part of Publicis Communications, with extensive digital and strategic CX experience under his belt from previously held roles, including strategy director and head of digital at independent creative agency The Hallway. Here, his work for Google won an AC&E Award Grand Prix and Pinnacle Award for Innovation. He was also director of production at The White Agency.

Prior to Sydney, Bennett worked agency-side in New York. In his new role, he will lead MercerBell’s core strategic offering for clients. He will also lead all CX strategy across the agency, including service design, UX, CRM, acquisition and communications planning.

Commenting on his appointment, Bennett said: “I’m excited by the opportunities I see with the MercerBell team and the agency’s amazing list of blue chip clients. I’m humbled to join the agency’s senior leadership team – a group of people who really get how data, behavioural science and creativity can work together to drive superior results for clients.”

Reporting to Bennett, Gascoigne joins MercerBell with over 15 years experience in digital and strategy working agency and client side and on global and local brands across a broad range of categories, including finance, retail, fashion and FMCG in Australia, New Zealand and China. Most recently, she was a business design lead at Fjord (part of Accenture Interactive).

Gascoigne is set to evolve MercerBell’s strategic offering to encompass predictive and behavioural analytics, and to support the building of the Melbourne office’s strategic division. She will develop strategies for clients that include everything from experience and service design through to CRM, data, digital and business strategy and planning.

MercerBell CEO Julie Dormand says: “Our strategy division is one of the fastest growing areas of the agency and I’m excited to have Brad and Jo on board. Their experience and skills put us in a fantastic position to continue to deliver results-driven solutions for clients.”
