Merrick Watts shines in new Choice Hotels Asia-Pac campaign

Prolific comedian and media personality, Merrick Watts, is lighting up Choice Hotels Asia-Pac’s newest national consumer campaign.

The accommodation provider’s ‘Experience More with Choice Hotels’ platform emphasises how Choice’s properties are the gateways to outstanding experiences for travellers, further heightened with Watts’ humour.

In addition to embodying Choice’s ethos in “deliver[ing] more for every type of traveller”,  it draws attention to the hotel provider’s “value-for-money proposition across its portfolio of five brands across Australia and New Zealand” – Econo Lodge, Comfrot Hotels, Quality Hotels, Clarion Hotels and Ascend Hotel Collection.

The campaign’s creative focuses on Choice’s comfort and quality brand offerings, while its call to action spotlights directing booking through Choicehotels.com.

“We’re delighted to have Merrick on board for this campaign,” expressed Choice Hotels Asia-Pac’s senior director commercial and revenue management, Kari Hunter.

“His humour resonates with Australians and New Zealanders alike, making him the perfect personality to show how staying with Choice Hotels helps travellers ‘Experience More’ —in both value and unforgettable memories.

“Whether it’s a family holiday or a short-stay trip, we want guests to know that selecting a Choice Hotels property will help them get more out of their visit, while also enjoying the best value for their money.

“With such a relatable entertainer as Merrick Watts in the spotlight, we look forward to the “Experience More with Choice Hotels” campaign creating an emotional connection with our customers.”

Watts added: “I was rapt to be asked to be involved with Choice Hotels because whether it is for work or a family holiday, it is genuinely where we stay when we travel around the country.”

Releasing on October 17, ‘Experience More with Choice Hotels’ is leveraging radio, social, out-of-home, digital platforms, connected and cable TV, and free-to-air channels.
