Following Starcom’s re-appointment to handle the Metcash Group media communications account in April, Starcom has also been appointed to handle the media account for Mitre 10.
As part of its arrangement with Metcash, Starcom will appoint a dedicated Mitre 10 team in its Melbourne office, to be supported by the existing national Metcash implementation teams housed in each of Starcom’s five state-based offices.
Starcom CEO John Sintras said: “Our team is thrilled to partner with Mitre 10 as Australia moves into a really dynamic time of change for the hardware retail category.”
Starcom’s appointment is effective from July 1.

Good!
Hopefully they start doing abit better advertising, M10 for the last 10-15 years has been making rash descisions and led them deep into debt, Mark Burrowes excellent leadership brought them to a point where Metcash would even look at investing and now it will be a two horse race Mitre 10 and Woolworths.
Bunnings has only gotten so far because in reality it’s had no opposition, well woefully under-capitalised opposition, and will fall to pieces in thecoming years.
ANY changes to Mitre 10 are a step forward and that is good for all our hip pockets and the building industry as a whole.
