Mia Freedman’s Indian image clean up
Mia Freedman has copped some flak in recent times for her use of sub-editing services from the subcontinent for her Mamamia website.
So Dr Mumbo was more than a little surprised to discover Freedman appears to be something of a minor celebrity in India – in kitchen cleaning circles at least.
It seems several Indian cleaning companies have decided to illustrate their websites with images of Mia cleaning a kitchen, lifted from a branded content project called GermWatch, which Freedman was the face of.

And she’s even the face of this guide on how to clean your kitchen:
A quick reverse image search shows the original image appears to have come from a branded content project called Germwatch.

Hi Mumbrella thanks for reporting this as this isn’t a slow news day.
This image of Mia is an image I shot a few years ago for a Pr agency. This image has obviously been lifted and from a webpage.Talk about direct plagiarism. As a media watch dog how do we go about getting this image removed?
Talk soon
