Micah Walker departs 72andSunny as ECD after eight months

The executive creative director at 72andSunny Sydney, Micah Walker, has departed the agency after eight months in the role, Mumbrella can reveal.

Walker joined the agency in July last year after a four year stint as creative director at Wieden + Kennedy Portland.

Prior to relocating to Portland, Walker was a partner and ECD at The Monkeys for two years.

During his time at The Monkeys, he worked on the Ice Break drag race campaign and the Boost Stay Living campaign.

The experienced creative has also held positions at Mojo, Leo Burnett Sydney, Fallon London and Y&R.

Four months before 72andSunny hired Walker, it became the lead agency on Optus’s creative roster.

In a statement to Mumbrella, a spokesperson from 72andSunny said: “72andSunny Sydney and Micah Walker have mutually agreed to part ways.

“We wish Micah all the best in the future and thank him for his creative contributions while he was with us.”

72andSunny Sydney works with clients including Optus, Google, Ebay, Dropbox and Optus.

Walker has been approached for comment.
