Michael Butler joins King Content as head of editorial

King Content has appointed Michael Butler as its new head of editorial.

Michael Butler

Butler was previously senior editorial manager at corporate content firm Editor Group.

Butler is expected to help build relevant content strategies for the agency’s growing list of clients, including NSW Department of Education, Intuit, Guzman y Gomez, and Data Republic.

“We are very excited to have Michael join the company,” said Craig Hodges, CEO at King Content. “His demonstrated passion for the power of content in brand strategy will drive our local editorial efforts to the next level and see our clients’ stories create increasingly meaningful interactions with their audiences.”

The agency also hopes Butler will assist in growing the business in Asia, Europe, and the US, especially after obtaining backing from ASX 200 company Isentia.

“I’m delighted to join the team,” said Butler. “With backing from [ASX 200 company] Isentia we can launch into these key markets with confidence and strength.

“I’m looking forward to helping our clients tell stories that resonate locally and globally.”
