Another Christmas campaign has launched this week, as Michael Hill Jeweller is showcasing how to have a ‘Christmas to Remember’, via CHEP Brisbane.

The spot follows an emotional story of a family going through some changes, with the father embarking on a new relationship.

The daughter struggles to come to terms with the change in her family dynamic, and just when it seems all hope is lost, she gives a gift to show her acceptance of her father’s new relationship.

Jo Feeney, chief marketing officer at Michael Hill, said: “This Christmas, more than ever, people are looking for meaningful gifts that last long after the festive season.

“Jewellery is not only seen as one of the most thoughtful gifts, it’s also a lasting memory, marking special moments in life.”

CHEP Brisbane’s creative lead, Christy Peacock, added: “This year’s story celebrates the special connection between dad and Evie, his teenage daughter.

“Evie’s surprise gift to dad’s new partner on Christmas Day is as much about showing her love for her dad as it is about welcoming a new member to the family.”

Last week, Target and Salvos both launched their Christmas campaigns, via their long-standing agency partners AFJ Partnership and The General Store, respectively.

Target’s spot encourages people to ‘Target All The Way’, focusing on its offerings across the Christmas experience. Meanwhile, Salvos’ ‘Gifts that mean more’ spot humorously plays on preloved items, and the consideration that goes into searching for unique pieces.

Michael Hill’s ‘Christmas to Remember’ campaign is rolling out across TV, cinema, online, social, press, OOH and in-store in Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
