The announcement:

Specialist agency, The Pulse, has announced the appointment of Michelle Schuberg to General Manager.

With offices in Sydney and Hong Kong, The Pulse works across the corporate, education and health sectors. The agency specialises is using emerging technologies to deliver cutting edge learning and entertainment, with a particular focus on the application of VR and AR.

Schuberg comes to The Pulse from global integrated agency, Imagination. Having held Executive Creative Director roles at a number of global creative agencies over the past decade, Michelle has led large teams, both locally and internationally to deliver successful campaigns for some of the worlds biggest brands.

“What has always driven me while working in marketing and communications, is the opportunity to challenge the status quo around how people receive and retain information,” said Schuberg.

Schuberg will spearhead new projects on the ‘Pulse IQ’ platform, one of the world’s first collaborative VR platforms for education and training, which recently received over $1 million in matched funding from the federal government’s Accelerating Commercialisation Grant.

Brett Heil, Founder of The Pulse, said, “Many agencies in this space are technology-led, often missing the strategy and instructional design needed to deliver effective outcomes. At the same time, there are creative agencies and consultancies who have all the strategy and thinking buttoned down, but may not understand the nuances of the technologies well enough to leverage them.

“We are excited by Michelle’s ability to integrate the best of both worlds to deliver our capabilities in the most effective way possible for our clients. I have high expectations for the next stage of our growth under Michelle’s guidance.”

Schuberg is thrilled to combine her expertise in effective and innovative storytelling with her passion for true collaboration, to help clients deliver ground breaking work across corporate, education and health industries.

“I came to The Pulse to be part of a team of people who are really pushing the boundary with immersive technology, because I believe it can revolutionise how we communicate with our audiences. If used well and deployed properly, immersive technology can have such an impact on so many people. I want to be a part of that journey and part of the group of people around the world that look to pioneer how those emerging technologies are best used,” she said.
