Microsoft search evangelist Christi Olson and Rubicon Project CTO Tom Kershaw join Mumbrella360 program

Microsoft’s head of evangelism for search and advertising, Christi Olson, will return to Mumbrella360 in 2020 to reveal exclusive research, while Rubicon Project’s chief technology officer, Tom Kershaw, will also join the program.

Olson, who is based in Washington state in the US, will discuss how privacy has impacted consumers’ relationships with brands. She last spoke at Mumbrella360 in 2018.

According to Microsoft’s current findings, 92% of research respondents highlighted concerns about the amount of data companies have collected about them. The technology giant has also captured how consumer relationships with brands have been impacted.

Olson will be joined on stage by Microsoft Advertising’s regional VP for APAC, Nick Seckold.

Kershaw, meanwhile, will fly in from California to reveal the four key principles he believes can save adtech.

Sharing global insights, he will examine how the new era of collaboration across independent technology companies could be the industry saviour for both advertisers and the media sector alike. He’ll also spell out the risks the industry will face if vendors opt to go it alone.

Kershaw has a deep history in adtech, having formerly worked at Google, Verisgn and Ericsson. He is also the chair of Prebid.org.

Mumbrella360 is Australia’s leading media and marketing conference

Olson, Seckold and Kershaw join already confirmed international speakers Jason Kahner, Grey’s president of global health and wellness, and Lone Thomsen, former CMO of the Meatless Farm Co and prior to that head of media and connections strategy for The Coca-Cola Company, Western Europe.

In addition, Bates Smart director Kellie Payne will be discussing smart workplace design for today’s leading creative brands at Mumbrella360.

More local and international leaders will be announced shortly on the program.
