Mindshare wins Origin Energy account

A spokesman for Origin Energy this morning confirmed the move telling Mumbrella: “I can confirm Mindshare has been appointed as Origin’s media agency.”

Mindshare’s account win sees the account move from media agency UM, which had only held the account since 2010.

The account was valued at $5.9m in 2010 but Origin is understood to have increased its spend significantly in recent years.

This is one a number of recent wins for Mindshare under new CEO Katie Rigg-Smith, other recent victories include winning Nike from Razor as part of a global alignment.

Mumbrella has been told incumbent agency UM did not re-pitch for the business but rather resigned the account.
