Mine rescue good for TV ratings
Seven’s extended coverage of the Chilean mine rescue delivered the network a ratings boost in its mid-morning programming on Wednesday.
The station dropped The Morning Show and stayed on air with Sunrise, delivering an audience of 262,000, up about 40% on a typical day.
Meanwhile, Ten’s audience for The Commonwealth Games was disappointing, even taking into account it being simulcast on digital sports channel One. It delivered an average 498,000 in early primetime and 513,000 in late primetime, according to preliminary overnight ratings from OzTam.
