Mitchell-led consortium takes control of fifth Australian Super Rugby team
The Melbourne Rebels consortium led by Harold Mitchell, chairman of the Mitchell Communication Group, has taken control of the fifth Australian Super Rugby team.
The Australian Rugby Union made the joint announcement with the consortium today, ending months of speculation and uncertainty over who would be involved in the Melbourne franchise.
The team will join an expanded 15-team competition next year, which will see Australia, New Zealand and South Africa each field five teams.
Mitchell last year released his autobiography, Living Large.
I wonder which of H’s agencies we be responsible for commercialising the Melbourne Rebels….Stadia Media would have to be frontrunner following by newly acquired Insite

Wouldn’t he have a massive conflict of interest if one of his clients was to be a major sponsor?
