Mitchells Brisbane appoints new head of digital Anthea Gaffney

Aegis Media has this morning appointed former Yahoo!7 group sales manager as its new head of digital for Mitchells Brisbane.

The announcement: 

This week, Aegis Media Brisbane took up residence in Newstead’s new Gasworks precinct and welcomed Anthea Gaffney as Head of Digital for Mitchell & Partners.

Anthea joins Mitchells from Yahoo 7!, where she held the role of Group Sales Manager Queensland for the past four years. She has also worked in digital advertising with Fairfax and client side in sales and marketing.

Gab Merrick, General Manager of Mitchell & Partners Brisbane said, “Anthea is a great asset to us in the Brisbane market and will give our business a deeper level of digital and market knowledge.

“Anthea has great advertiser and media relationships in our market. She has incredibly strong sales expertise and business acumen and will facilitate the continued growth of our integrated media offering.”

Of her appointment, Anthea said, “I’m excited for the challenge of moving into an agency role and am keen to collaborate closely with the existing team, while adding value with my digital experience. Aegis Media was an obvious choice for me being such a dominant player in the Brisbane market.”

Anthea will work closely with Gabriela and the senior management team and started this Monday.

In addition, all Aegis Media Brisbane staff have moved to the Gasworks Precinct with Aegis Media occupying two levels of the building, incorporating Mitchell & Partners, Haystac and Columbus.
