Mitchells Brisbane sees Kenny Stewart takes the reins from Teena Jameson
Mitchell Communication Group has replaced Teena Jameson at the helm of its powerful Brisbane operation with the company’s group director of business development Kenny Stewart.
Jameson – who has helped build an operation with billings in excess of $150m – will stay with the company in the new role of national client service director.
The agency’s Brisbane office includes clients such as Super Cheap Autos and Virgin Blue, Flight Centre, Tourism Queensland and Domino’s Pizza.
Teena Jameson is among Brisbane’s best known media execs and has been with Mitchells for about ten years. She was previously in charge of AIS Media/ Starcom.
Mitchells is Australia’s biggest media buying operation.
Jameson, who will remain in Brisbane, said: “I’m enormously proud of our great success in Brisbane over the past 10 years. With billings of more than $180 million, Mitchell & Partners is the largest media agency in Queensland. I now look forward to working with Harold and our senior management team to increase the Mitchell Communication Group’s presence and success nationally.”
Stewart, who has been with the company for 18 months following a three year stint as MD of Starcom Sydney, said “I’m privileged to be taking over such a wonderfully nurtured business, the benchmark in Queensland and very much looking forward to employing my experience both from within and outside the Mitchell Communication Group in growing the Group’s presence in Queensland. I welcome and look forward to the challenge.”

High time the dinosaurs were made extinct, should have replaced Teena years back. It would have saved some grief in Brisbane from the cost cutting spree to win clients that was Mitchell’s motto.

Tom you boof head, what Teena Jameson has done at Mitchell’s is drag the Brisbane Media agencies into the new century, with out her hard work and professional work ethic the Brisbane Media scene would still be using quill pens and rice paper.
And to build an agency from the ground up 10 years ago to what is now the biggest billing agency in QLD then I don’t think the mantra of “cost cutting spree to win clients” rings true.
Go and have a long hard look at yourself Tom and wake up and smell the roses Dinosaur I think not,Powerhouse more to the point Teena’s energy will be sorely missed.

Well said Frank!!!!!
Tom clearly has no vision and no understanding of the Brisbane marketplace. Why he couldn’t just be gracious and congratulate an outstanding media professional on a job well done is beyond me and it simply demonstrates that he has NO IDEA about the media industry and therefore has no right to comment.
Get a new therapist mate – one that doesn’t tell you to cut others down in order to compensate for your own shortcomings!
Well done Teena you deserve the promo and I wish you every success!

LOL, look at the bruised egos of Frank and Peter shouting themselves hoarse from Mitchell’s office, love your sense of loyalty mates. At least you did this during office hours!
