Mitchells signs exclusive ad deal with new LifeStyle channel

Mitchell & Partners and sales house Multi Channel Network have brokered a three-month deal which will see the media agency’s clients the only ones to advertise on the new Foxtel and Austar channel, LifeStyle You, during its launch phase.

  

The three-month media deal will see Mitchells’ clients given access to integrated opportunities, night block sponsorships, involvement in the production of vignettes, billboards, solus-break structures where they are the only ad in a commercial break, and potential daypart ownership.

The brands due to air on the new channel are still to be announced.

LifeStyle You will launch on 15 November, with the majority of its content exclusive to Australia.

Aimed at female audiences, LifeStyle You is a collaboration between the makers of The LifeStyle Channel and LifeStyle Food. Presenters will include Sarah Wilson, Kate Waterhouse and Antonia Kidman.

Joe Copley, Mitchells Sydney GM, said: “The LifeStyle brand is a favourite in subscription television homes, and Lifestyle You is a fantastic extension with a positive self-enhancement proposition for women.

“There are great synergies for many of our clients and we wanted to be able to make the most of them – hence an exclusive arrangement.”

Multi Channel Network (MCN) is a sales house for subscription TV channels and is a joint venture between Foxtel, Austar, Premier Media Group and XYZ Networks.
