The announcement:

Adelaide’s Mix 102.3 Jodie & Soda celebrated long-time breakfast radio host Jodie Oddy’s 10th year on the airwaves this week with a show celebrating the accomplished broadcaster’s achievement.

As one of the state’s most popular radio personalities, Jodie was surprised in-studio with a cake from her co-host Mark ‘Soda’ Soderstrom, who has been by Jodie’s side for the past four years hosting Adelaide’s #1 FM Breakfast program.

Jodie was inundated with calls from South Australian Premier Jay Weatherill to friends of the show, who had shared their most intimate moments with her over the decade, wishing to congratulate her on the accolade. She even received a special message from her mum who called into the show – you can listen to that audio here.

Her husband Greg, whom she met working at the station 10 years ago, and her three children Payton, Summer and Taylor, also surprised her by stopping by in-studio.

In an emotional radio moment, Jodie thanked her family, Mix 102.3 colleagues and the friends of the show – you can listen to that audio here.
