Cricket Australia has partnered with MKTG Sports + Entertainment to deliver new stadium creative content and enhance fan engagement for the 2025/26 Weber Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) and KFC Big Bash League (BBL).

The announcement:

Cricket Australia has appointed MKTG Sports + Entertainment to deliver league-wide stadium creative content for the 2025/26 Weber Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) and KFC Big Bash League (BBL).

Following a competitive tender process, Cricket Australia selected MKTG to refresh and elevate the Big Bash match-day experience across stadium big screens, sight screens, and LED platforms. The remit includes the creation of bold new league and club-specific content, ensuring fans enjoy a more immersive, high-energy experience at every game.

The project, which commenced in June 2025, will see MKTG deliver digital stadium content across key moments, including boundaries, wickets, DRS, finals, and culturally significant events such as First Nations Round, along with bespoke cricket explainer videos, marketing messages, and a refreshed Woolworths Cricket Blast stadium TVC, inclusive of complete video production and delivery.

Elizabeth Cook, content director at MKTG, said:

“This is an extraordinary opportunity to extend our longstanding partnership with Cricket Australia to reimagine the Big Bash experience for fans. Our creative vision is positioning the W/BBL as Australian sport’s most engaging and exciting visual brand. We’re excited to bring fresh creative territories and seamless delivery to the biggest stage in Australian cricket.”

Isaac Moores, creative studio lead at MKTG, added:

“The Big Bash is all about energy and theatre, and we’re pushing the boundaries of LED design to create something fresh and unique that fans haven’t seen before. We aim to deliver visual storytelling that excites the crowd, strengthens the league’s identity, and ensures every moment feels special.”

Cricket Australia’s event experience director for Big Bash Leagues, Gemma Dyer, said:

“Big Bash matches are a highlight of every summer, combining world-class cricket with exciting and unforgettable family experiences. The Big Bash has always been about bringing fans closer to the action, and this partnership with MKTG allows us to take the at-match experience to the next level. We can’t wait for fans to see it come to life this summer.”

The new creative will launch with the WBBL season in November 2025, followed by the BBL season in December, reaching millions of fans across Australia.
