Momentum Energy hands media account to Havas Melbourne

East-coast energy company Momentum Energy has appointed Havas as the business moves from a traditional media model to a digitally focused approach.

Momentum, which services gas and electricity customers in Victoria, NSW and South Australia, said it was seeking a media partner which would give it a performance-linked offer.

Head of marketing and communications, Naomi Morton, said the decision to appoint Havas was based on a range of factors.

“We are excited to be working with Havas to help us transform our media mix from a traditional approach to a digitally biased solution that gives us visibility and confidence in the return on our media investments,” Morton said.

“Havas stood out from the other agencies through their straight-talking approach, their digital and strategic expertise and their passion for our business.”

Havas Melbourne group managing director Matt Houltham, said the agency was focused on being a partner rather than simply a provider.

“They expect us to act as an extension of their team, to push them to innovate and to take responsibility for delivering results. And that’s exactly how we’ve designed our model,” Houltham said.
