Monday MasterChef pulls in 1.8m for Ten
Ten’s MasterChef last night served the network with its biggest 7-8pm audience in five years with a massive 1.8m viewers on Monday night.
Meanwhile, Nine will probably be happy enough with its experiment of putting Eddie McGuire and Millionnaire Hot Seat into prime time – it gained a respetable, but not stellar, 1.2m viewers on Monday night according to preliminary TV ratings from Oztam. Ratings were up across the board, probably because of the bank holiday.
But despite Tracy Grimshaw’s swipe back at Gordon Ramsay and a second outing for chk-chk boom girl Clare Werbeloff, Nine’s A Current Affair was soundly beaten by Seven’s Today Tonight.
Monday night’s ratings: Nine 26.8%; Seven 26.1%; Ten 24.9%; ABC 16.7%; SBS 5.6%.
