More than half of Aussie homes now on broadband
More than half of all Aussie households are now on broadband, say new stats from the Australian Bureau of Statistics today. According to the figures which run up to June 2008, 4.3m households had a broadband connection, an increase of 22% on 12 months before.
The ACT has the highest percentage of connected households; Tasmania the least. Excluding time spent at work, the average Aussie spends just over an hour a day on the internet.
It depends what you call broadband though. Whatever – it’s too slow.
