Morning Update: Danny Trejo is Marcia in Snickers Super Bowl ad, but who’s Jan?

Creativity-Online: Danny Trejo Is Marcia, But Who’s Jan?

After watching the teaser, we know Danny Trejo plays Marcia in Snickers’ Super Bowl Spot, but we wondered which of the other Brady kids we were going to see.

After getting enough YouTube views, Snickers has come through with the whole spot, which makes use of original footage from the “Brady Bunch,” working off a classic episode in which Marcia is hit in the face by a football. In the spot, Marcia is stuck as Mr. Trejo until she eats a Snickers and feels like herself again. At the end of the spot, Jan appears as actor Steve Buscemi. Which we think is kind of inspired casting.

AdWeek: This Year’s Craziest Super Bowl Ad Is From GrubHub and Stars an Angry Flying Burrito

In the mini Super Bowl of regional ads, GrubHub is introducing a flying burrito that crashes into the heads of anyone foolish enough to order food by phone.

The message is anything but subtle: Order via GrubHub’s mobile app or risk bodily harm. “Burrito,” from lead agency Barton F. Graf 9000 in New York, will air in five markets during the third quarter of the game: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, Baltimore, Md. and Washington, D.C.

The agency is also breaking a new ad during NBC’s never-ending pre-game show. That spot, “Wrong Order,” features an irate guy who chases after a delivery man on a moped after he gets bologna sandwich instead of cobb salad.

AdAge: P&G’s Always Takes #LikeAGirl Viral Video to the Super Bowl

Procter & Gamble Co.’s Always will make its Super Bowl debut with a 60-second version of the brand’s #LikeAGirl viral video hit, first released online in June.

The ad, the first from a feminine-care brand in the Super Bowl, aims to “spark a social change that redefines the meaning” of the phrase “like a girl,” as P&G puts it. The video was one of the top viral ads of 2014, with 54 million views on YouTube alone, though the Super Bowl audience will more than double that reach in one fell swoop.

Campaign: PZ Cussons hunts for global agency

PZ Cussons is looking to appoint a global agency of record for its personal-care brands.

Roth Observatory International is handling the review, which was launched this month and is scheduled to be completed in March.

The household-goods giant wants a creative agency or network to provide digital and brand strategy for its personal-care brands across its biggest markets, which include Nigeria, Indonesia and the UK.

AdWeek:  Watch This Ad Agency Tell Its Staffers They Have to French Kiss Their Clients

Plenty of agencies describe themselves as full service, but one really wants to take that commitment to the next level.

At least, that’s the premise of a video Geometry Global Paris made as an uncomfortably literal love note to marketers, celebrating the new year. In the clip, staffers at the agency are informed that, in 2015, they’ll be required to pucker up and French kiss their clients—because what better way to show the agency’s French-ness and devotion to its work?
