Mumbrella appoints Vivienne Kelly as editor, promotes Miranda Ward to deputy editor

Mumbrella today announced the appointment of new editor Vivienne Kelly, following an extensive recruitment process, while public relations and publishing editor Miranda Ward has been promoted to deputy editor.

Kelly joins Mumbrella in December from Momentum Media, where she is currently managing editor of its real estate and property investment brands. She replaces Alex Hayes who has been promoted to head up the new Mumbrella Bespoke division, creating bespoke events and native content for brands.

In her current role, Kelly oversees four brands: Real Estate Business; Smart Property Investment; Which Investment Property and Residential Property Manager.

Kelly began her career as a junior reporter with one of Momentum Media’s mortgage brands, The Adviser, rising to features editor, before becoming editor of Smart Property Investment and Which Investment Property, and then managing editor of the company’s real estate and property investment brands.

During her time with Momentum, the business secured a raft of Publish Awards including Integrated Media Brand of the Year, B2B Magazine of the Year (twice), Best Business Events, Business Publishing Company of the Year and the Overall Excellence Award.

She starts her new role on December 12 and will be contactable via vivienne@mumbrella.com.au.

Meanwhile Ward, who curates the CommsCon and Publish conferences, awards and e-newsletters as well as writing about PR and publishing for Mumbrella, steps up to the position of deputy.

Miranda Ward has been with Mumbrella since 2013.
