Mumbrella Publish Awards 2023: Man of Many, Broadsheet, Guardian Aus and more win big
Man of Many has taken home three awards at the 2023 Mumbrella Publish Awards, while Broadsheet Media was named Publishing Company of the Year, and The Local Project named Publication of the Year.
The men’s lifestyle publication won Best Engagement Strategy and Website of the Year, while co-founders Scott Purcell and Frank Arthur were awarded Publish Leader(s) of the Year.
The jury said the brand’s engagement strategy was strong, with Man of Many displaying a “great sense of innovation in their Google collaboration and also with their attention to data and its use to refine its strategy”.
Purcell and Arthur were described by the jury as “clearly” innovative and strategic and as strong leaders who act in the best interest of their team.
Broadsheet Media was highly commended in the Branded Content Studio and Brand of the Year categories, and took home Publishing Company of the Year.
The jury said: “Broadsheet is energetic, en-pointe, fun, engaging, relevant and innovative.
“It is clear the business develops content with its audiences, not just for them. They continue to innovate and do what they do best.”
Meanwhile, The Local Project was highly commended in the Special Edition of the Year category, and won Publication of the Year.
Urban List took home two awards in Salesperson/Team of the Year and Brand of the Year.
Guardian Australia‘s Ben Roberts-Smith v The Media won Best Podcast (Single Episode), and Nova Entertainment‘s Dear Clementine series won Best Podcast (Series).
Guardian also won Best Advertising Campaign for a Publisher, for its work with Howatson+Company and JCDecaux.

Coles Magazine by Medium Rare Content Agency was awarded Custom Publication of the Year, as it “delivered a superior understanding of the target audience,” according to the jury.
