Mumbrella360 postponed due to COVID-19 outbreak, shifts to September

Mumbrella and parent company Diversified Communications have decided to postpone Mumbrella360, Australia’s largest media and marketing summit, which was set to take place between July 13-15 across three venues in Sydney.

A new date and location have already been confirmed, with the event now taking place from September 27-29 exclusively at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney. The venue change sees Mumbrella360 return to its traditional location across multiple levels of the hotel, with additional space to ensure the event can be run in a COVID-safe manner.

“The decision made to postpone Mumbrella360 was the most sensible one for the safety of not only our staff, but our delegates, speakers, suppliers and sponsors,” said Diversified Communications managing director, David Longman. “It was important for us to get on the front foot and reschedule it as quickly as possible to ensure that there would be minimal disruption for all involved.

“While it was great to see the momentum build on an event we have missed delivering in-person, I believe Mumbrella360 in September will still exceed the expectations of all in attendance. Diversified Communications and Mumbrella would like to thank everyone for their understanding on the postponement.”

The decision was made in light of the latest COVID-19 outbreaks, which have seen Sydney and some surrounding regions as well as greater Darwin and Perth placed in lockdown. Significant and varying border restrictions have also been put in place between different states and territories.

Speakers, delegates, sponsors and suppliers have received an email from the Mumbrella team earlier today outlining the current situation and how it affects them, with a specific contact in case of any questions.
