Music publisher Seventh Street Media continues growth with senior hire

Music publisher Seventh Street Media has continued its expansion by naming Ben Pellow as commercial director after a brief stint at Here There & Everywhere.

Pellow joined HT&E, formerly APN News and Media, last November as digital account director where he worked across ARN and Conversant Media digital properties.

SSM said the hire will “take the company’s innovative native content strategy to agencies and beyond”.

Pellow said in a statement: “The success that SSM has achieved already this year is a clear example of the
market’s hunger for deeper connections with Australian audiences. I am excited to help grow a business that is uniquely positioned to service brands, agencies and consumers with the best possible experience.”

SSM chief executive Luke Girgis added: “Emotion drives consumer behaviour more than any other factor, and music is the most emotional art form. We are uniquely positioned to offer our brands and partners
unprecedented influence and access to market.”

SSM said it has grown its workforce from 4 to 17 in nine months.

Earlier this year SSM vowed to become the “biggest music media publisher in Australia”.
