Adelaide radio ratings: Mix102.3 maintains overall lead but ABC closes gap
Australian Radio Network’s Mix102.3 maintained its position as Adelaide’s most popular radio station in the latest GfK ratings despite a dip in listeners over the past two months.
The station saw its share slide 0.7 points to 12.4%, ahead of ABC Adelaide which enjoyed a strong period with the AM station’s share rising 1.5 points to 11.6%.
Mix102.3’s FM rivals 5MMM and Nova91.9 slipped 1.4 and 0.2 points to 10.7% and 11 % respectively while Hit 107 saw a slight increase to 8%.
ABC Adelaide extended its hold in the breakfast slot after a surge of two points to 16.2%.
There was a sharp decline for 5MMM’s breakfast duo of Roo and Ditts of 2.1 points to 11.4%, enabling Mix102.3 to leapfrog its rival with a rise of 0.8 points to 12.1%.
Nova captured 11% of the timeslot, an increase of 0.2 points. Fiveaa, meanwhile, retained second slot in the battle for breakast listeners despite seeing its share dip 1.2 points to 12.4%.
In the drive slot, Nova’s Kate Richie, Tim Blackwell and Marty Sheargold maintained top billing despite losing listeners. Their share fell from 16.1% in the last survey to 14.4%, a slide matched mirrored by Mix102.3 whose team of Hughesy and Kate fell to a share of 11.9%, down almost two points.
On the AM dial in the driveslot, Fiveaa gained 0.7 to finish on 11.6% while ABC also made ground with its share rising 1.4 points to 8.4%.
