My Kitchen Rules commissioned for season four
Network Seven has announced a new season of My Kitchen Rules will go ahead following the success of the current season.
Seven’s head of production, Brad Lyons, said: “We are thrilled with the success of My Kitchen Rules. It’s a show which continues to deliver and evolve. Series three has captured the public’s imagination with some amazing twists and characters and it’s a real credit to everyone involved.”
“We are pleased to confirm a fourth series – and we encourage anyone who wants a real cooking adventure to apply and show Australia what they’re made of.”
The current season has been a success for the network, winning most nights, Monday-Thursday, with an average of 1.6m metro viewers per episode.
The network has opened its call for entries for teams of two for the forthcoming series.
An enjoyable show that could improve with a segment allowing viewers to fling kitchen detritus at the most disagreeable contestants. I’d be lining up to hurl lavender soap and chicken jam breakfast at the smug little Melbourne guy who literally cannot boil an egg, Whatshisname Puffyface.

Hmmm, you should’ve gone to Specsavers, nickatnights… Why wouldn’t the most negative tag line in marketing motivate you?
