My Kitchen Rules’ US rights sold

Seven has sold the US rights to My Kitchen Rules at Cannes TV market MIPTV.

The Network, which produces the hit TV show in-house has sold the US rights to Kinetic Content, according to reports.

Deadline reports Kenetic’s CEO Chris Coelen said: “Very rarely does a new format so quickly rocket to and sustain such massive success, and My Kitchen Rules  has taken Australia by storm. It is a universal format that we believe will be embraced in the U.S.”

Kenetic Content is the production company behind NBC’s new prank show Betty White’s Off Their Rockers.

My Kitchen Rules has been Seven’s highest rating regular program so far this year, constantly winning the daily ratings race.

The finale of the show took 2.7m viewers with a 37% network share.
