MySpace hires Spencer Rogers

Spencer Rogers has become Melbourne group sales manager for MySpace and IGN Entertainment.  

The announcement:

MySpace and IGN Entertainment today announced the appointment of Spencer Rogers to the role of Group Sales Manager for the Melbourne business.

Bringing over 15 years of media sales and agency experience, Spencer has previously worked at Zenith Optimedia as Jetstar’s Media Manager, most recently he held the position of National Sales Manager for Out-of-Home company Octopus Media where he was responsible for successfully launching and building a portfolio of major brand clients across shopping centre and large format properties.

As Director of Sales Australia and New Zealand Andrew Cordwell explains: “We’re excited to have someone with Spencer’s experience lead the Melbourne team. His media sales and agency experience combined with established relationships in the media industry see him well placed to head up our Melbourne operation. Moreover, Spencer’s appointment reaffirms our commitment to investing in and developing experienced local teams for local markets.”

Working across a portfolio of websites including MySpace, AskMen and IGN, Spencer and his team will be concentrating on continuing to build the Melbourne client portfolio and educating agencies regarding significant product developments across the three properties.

Spencer Rogers appointment was effective May 2010.
