NAB chief marketing officer moves to Google ANZ

Suzana Ristevski, chief marketing officer, executive group marketing at National Australia Bank (NAB) has announced she is leaving the bank after seven years to head up marketing at Google ANZ.

Sharing the news via a LinkedIn post on Wednesday, Ristevski said: “I have some news! After 7 wonderful years at NAB, I am heading over to Google.

“Sad to be leaving an incredible team at NAB but very excited to be joining another incredible team at Google.”

Ristevski joined NAB in 2017 as GM, business bank marketing and customer strategy, before moving into the chief marketer role in 2018.

Mumbrella understands Ristevski will replace Aisling Finch, who departed from Google in October last year.

Finch was Google ANZ’s senior director of marketing, leading all aspects end-to-end across consumers, businesses and key opinion formers. She spent over 13 years at the company.

Simon Kahn, vice president, marketing at Google APAC, also shared the news via a LinkedIn post on Wednesday.

He described the search for a new marketer as “comprehensive” and said the team is thrilled to have Ristevski joining them.

“Suzana will join us in June and brings over 30 years of cross-industry experience in financial services, telecommunications, private health insurance, and industrial sectors,” he said.

“Her proven track record in driving sustainable growth through strategic marketing, coupled with her deep understanding of the market and reputation as an innovative change-maker will no doubt be invaluable in elevating our marketing efforts.

“I am excited for Suzana to leverage her expertise and extensive experience to propel our passionate Google AUNZ marketing team to even greater heights.”

Ristevski will commence the role at Google in June.
