NAB wins two Gold Quills at International Association of Business Communicators Awards

National Australia Bank has been awarded two Gold Quills of excellence by the International Association of Business Communicators.

The announcement:

National Australia Bank was today awarded two Gold Quills Awards of Excellence by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). The Gold Quill Awards recognise excellence in strategic communication worldwide and are acknowledged as one of the most prestigious accolades in the communication industry.

NAB’s Corporate Communications and Marketing team were recognised with an IABC 2017:

  • Gold Quill Award of Excellence in Communications Management – Media Relations,
  • Gold Quill Award of Excellence in Communication Research.

Both awards were for the public relations and media strategy that supported NAB’s 2016 More Than Money brand launch, which was also supported by Ogilvy Public Relations Melbourne.

In conferring the awards, the IABC’s Blue Ribbon Panel Evaluators expressly noted that NAB’s work “demonstrated exceptional understanding of the media landscape and strategic approach to achieving coverage”. The panel congratulated NAB for “impressive and industry-leading work”.

NAB Executive General Manager of Corporate Affairs Nathan Goonan said: “NAB’s More than Money brand launch demonstrates how we want to help customers have control of their money so they can see life beyond it. These awards acknowledge the excellent work of our team and we are proud to be recognised at an international level.”

Lynn Barter, ABC, MC, Chair of the IABC awards committee said: “The Gold Quill Awards celebrate business communication’s best practices and the value professional, strategic communication programs bring to an organization’s bottom line, its brand and its reputation.”
