National Breast Cancer Foundation appoints PPR
The National Breast Cancer Foundation, known for its pink ribbon fundraising campaigns, has appointed PPR to handle its public relations activity in Australia.
The business was previously handled inhouse.
PPR will handle the foundation’s events leading up to October, which include Pink Ribbon Breakfasts, Global Illumination and Pink Ribbon Day.
“PPR have exciting plans to further raise awareness of the Pink Ribbon campaign, drive engagement and sales and help us move one step closer to our goal of finding a cure for breast cancer,” said Carole Renouf, National Breast Cancer Foundation CEO.
Michael Pooley, PPR Sydney GM, added: “Pink Ribbon is one of Australia’s most iconic and respected campaigns. We are honoured to be working with the NBCF and look forward to delivering a successful campaign which will ultimately be of benefit to the Australian community and future generations.”
Lets hope this PR Company comes up with a better idea than racing a Grey Hound to raise money for Breast Cancer… my god that campaign was ATROCIOUS!!!

Hmmm, with breast cancer survival rates around 90% (and rising) I would’ve thought other cancers might have got a word in edgewise?
There’s no stopping the pink steamroller, I suppose.

Missy, I think you’re referring to a campaign in aid of the McGrath Foundation who raise money for breast care nurses. The NBCF raise money for breast cancer research.
