Nelly Thomas’ new sex & relationship podcast ‘Dear Nelly’ launches

Nelly Thomas has begun a new podcast, Dear Nelly, where she talks about sex, relationships and dating advice as a middle-aged woman, with a number of guests to appear in the coming weeks.

The announcement:

Award-winning Australian comedian, broadcaster, and author Nelly Thomas has launched a hilarious and heartfelt weekly podcast, Dear Nelly, sex, relationships & dating advice from the other side of 40. The show is distributed, hosted, and monetised by Acast, the world’s largest independent podcast company.

Together with her ‘coven’ of magnetic middle-aged weekly guests, Nelly will explore everything from dating deal breakers to dick-pick etiquette. Demolishing the cultural doom and gloom narrative of reaching mid-life, the show also explores break-us, parenting, marriage, and programming the remote.

Nelly Thomas, the host of Dear Nelly, said: “Like many people, I got ‘covid divorced’ after a long relationship and not only was it not a disaster, it was best for everyone involved.

“Turning 40 is something faced with dread by some, but I want listeners to hear a different take – this is when you really come into your own,” said Nelly.

The first guest star of the series is comedian Geraldine Hickey. Geraldine and Nelly discuss “late to lez”, bad break-ups, marrying late in life, and Geraldine’s surprising dating dealbreakers.

Future guests include Cal Wilson, Meshel Laurie, Harley Breen, Mel Buttle, Jo Stanley, Scott Brennan, and Wes Snelling.

As part of its commitment to the open podcast ecosystem, Acast will make Dear Nelly accessible to listeners on all podcast platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, Google Podcasts, Samsung Free, and more. Opportunities for brands and advertisers looking to work with Dear Nelly and beyond are available exclusively through the Acast Marketplace. Get in touch via sales.au@acast.com
