Nestle Purina launches first content video with Yahoo7 Storytellers
Nestle Purina is educating Australian pet owners on the importance of a balanced lifestyle in its Purina video series, with the first instalment featuring the story of a woman and her dog.
The one and a half minute video features Carly, who tells how her dog Bella transformed her lifestyle and eating habits.
Created by Yahoo7’s content marketing solution, Storytellers, the film aims to teach pet owners about the nine key ingredients found in Purina Beyond, as well as provides tips for a healthy and active lifestyle together.
The content series is part of a broader digital campaign, born out of the insights owners want their pets to feel as good as tey do when eating nutritious food, and being active.
Nestle Purina’s new content series will run across Yahoo7 properties, including lifestyle website Be, and native advertising marketplace, Gemini.
Nathan Hill, head of marketing at Nestlé Purina said Storytellers allowed him to “seamlessly target” and reach the right audiences .
“After months of research and planning, we’re thrilled to launch our hero video content as part of the Purina Beyond® launch campaign,” Hill said.
“By partnering with our agency MEC and Yahoo7, we are able to utilise Storytellers to seamlessly target and reach the right audience for our brand, at scale.”
Paul Sigaloff, chief revenue officer at Yahoo7 added: “Using Yahoo7’s unrivalled ‘datasphere’ to power insights for effective storytelling, the entire campaign was bought on known outcomes and provided Nestlé with guaranteed engagement results.”
Yahoo7 launched the content and technology offering two months ago, locking in Nestle Purina as its founding advertiser.

That was not “content”. That was an overly long, over-stylised TVC.
Very cringey indeed.

I’d love to know why you hate branded content – it’s a far more seamless and less intrusive form of advertising, that can be engaging for the right audiences. It’s very close minded of you to write such a comment. It’s a high quality video, promoting a fantastic product, and i’m sure that dog owners will find it interesting to watch. If someone doesn’t like it, they can skip – or if the option isn’t available, just switch tabs until it’s over. Branded content like this keeps websites free for users to enjoy.
