Networks show no resistance to Seven’s Rafters juggernaut

Ten had just one show above the 1m mark, while the prime time prospect of learning about Baroque art and architecture from Waldemar Jabusszczak was a less than compelling offer for ABC1 viewers on Tuesday night.

Seven enjoyed an easy win for the night, spearheaded by Packed To The Rafters’ metro audience of 1.9m, according to overnight ratings from OzTam. With regional audiences, this rose to nearly 2.8m.

Meanwhile, Seven’s series Final of Minute To Win It, which will be replaced next week with a stripped episode of The X Factor, rated 1.2m.

For Nine, the main draw on Tuesday was a new episode of the BBC’s Top Gear, which pulled in 1.4m. The Top Gear repeat which followed rated 876,000.

Ten’s only performer for Tuesday was Modern Family, which averaged 1.2m.

Menawhile ABC1 went highbrow with the second episode of Baroque attracting just 529,000. SBS’s best performer of the night was UK doco One Born Every Minute which rated 262,000.
