New lifestye mag to launch

House – a new home and lifestyle magazine is set to launch this week.

The announcement:

The new national lifestyle magazine House goes in-store at Australia’s premier dining and kitchen ware group this week.

Published exclusively for the House national retail franchise, the magazine has a circulation of 100,000, which will be CAB audited.

House is being distributed to key customers in-store. It is published by Melbourne custom publisher Nuance Multimedia Australia.

The launch issue features chef and TV presenter Karen Martini on the cover and includes recipes created by Julie Goodwin, Australia’s first MasterChef winner.

Other writers include wine author and columnist Ben Canaider, Melbourne Food and Wine Festival-anointed Legend Rita Erlich, Australian Barbecue Academy founder Bob Hart and hospitality specialist Trish Harty.

Advertisers in the launch issue include Blanco, Finish, Global knives, Trudeau, Alex Liddy, Maxwell & Williams and Scanpan.

House will be published seasonally and the next issue is a special Christmas and summer edition to be distributed on 30 November. Julie Goodwin’s Christmas recipes will be a highlight and these will be complimented by recipes by Nigella Lawson and Dominique Rizzo.

House has more than 90 franchise stores and is Australia’s largest independent and dedicated retailer of quality products for the table and kitchen.

National Marketing Manager Matt Taylor says House is rapidly expanding and the magazine is a major element of the group’s loyalty marketing strategy. “House customers are affluent and are constantly looking for new ideas for the home, particularly in the kitchen and for dining.

Seventy-three per cent are women aged between 30 and 55 and House magazine will cater for this demographic,” he adds.

Advertising managers are Scott Elmslie and David Sutcliffe.
