New marketing agency for Australian film industry

Advertising agency DLSHS has launched a specialised film division, promising “unprecedented media buying power” to the industry.

DLSHS (pronounced Delicious) were behind the campaigns for The Combination, Cedar Boys and Acolytes. Creative director Ahmed Salama said their aim is to offer Australian producers “unprecedented advertising and marketing techniques typically employed by big agencies and major brands”.

Salama also promised “unprecedented media buying power” to the local film industry.

One of their first activities to engage with the industry will be their sponsorship of the inaugural Australian Film Festival (February 24-March 7).

The launch of DLSHS Film follows the announcement last year of a similar initiative from Josh Pomeranz (Spectrum Films) and Rachel Dixon (Handshake Media), which is yet to initiate activities.
