News Corp appoints Rebecca Caratti as Vogue Living editor

Rebecca Caratti, editor of News Corp’s lifestyle site Buro247.com.au, has been appointed editor of Vogue Living magazine.

Caratti has worked for News Corp for a number of years, including a stint as style editor at Vogue Living.

Her 12 year-long career also includes a stint as market editor for Harper’s Bazaar.

Caratti’s appointment comes ten months after Neale Whitaker stepped down as editor in chief of Vogue Living, a role which he held for three years. In the interim, the role was held by Edwina McCann, who is now News Prestige Network’s editorial director of Vogue Australia, Vogue Living and GQ Australia.

McCann said Caratti was a “talented editor” with a “deep understanding of premium content”.

“I’m delighted that Rebecca is returning to the Vogue brand to take on the new challenge of leading the development of Vogue Living. It is an important time for the growth of the brand as we further position it to an affluent female, fashion forward audience with contemporary aspirations across design, interiors architecture, lifestyle, travel and entertaining,” McCann said.

Caratti said returning to the Vogue family was a thrill.

“I’m looking forward to injecting a fresh new perspective into the Vogue Living brand,” Caratti said.

Caratti’s appointment follows a restructure of News Corp’s News Prestige Network division, which saw McCann, previously editor in chief of Vogue Australia, became editorial director across Vogue Australia, Vogue Living and GQ Australia.

A replacement for Caratti at Buro247.com.au is yet to be announced.
