News Corp Australia appoints new director of e-commerce

News Corp Australia has appointed Kogan senior executive Adam Kron to the newly-created position of director, e-commerce.

News Corp Australia today announced the appointment of one of Australia’s preeminent online retail experts, Kogan senior executive Adam Kron who joins as its inaugural director, e-commerce. Mr Kron has a proven track record of success at various stages of start-up and growth businesses including key roles across four leading Australian e-commerce businesses.

Before his stint as Kogan’s director of growth Mr Kron served as executive general manager and chief strategy officer at The Catch Group, now part of Wesfarmers . He has also served in similar roles at Temple &  Webster, prominent in the e-commerce home category.

News Corp Australia’s chief financial officer Michael Ford said Mr Kron would bring a deep level of expertise to help coordinate and expand News Corp Australia’s existing e-commerce operations to build on the company’s commitment to be client-first and audience-led.

“Adam will bring his considerable experience to help us use our data smarter to deliver razor-sharp and niche consumer insights on behalf of clients and to create unique and differentiated experiences to benefit our audiences,” Mr Ford said.
