Replacing Spackman as general manager product and partnerships for The Australian and Prestige is Zac Skulander, who is promoted from head of brand planning.

News Corp managing director of The Australian and Prestige Titles, John Lehmann said “it was pleasing” to fill key roles from within the company’s ranks.

“Both Amanda and Zac are proven performers within our business and it’s great to have the depth of talent to fill these important roles from inside the company,” Lehmann said.

“I’ve worked closely with Amanda for the past three years and admire her passion for our brands and audiences and her innovative approach to solving client needs – attributes that I’m sure will serve her well in New York.”

Spackman joined News Corp in 2017 as head of digital commercial strategy for Vogue Australia, Vogue Living and GQ (collectively the “Prestige brands”), and later moved to group commercial integration director in 2020. She was named general manager for product and partnerships in March 2022. Some of her previous stints before News Corp include Bauer Media Australia (now Are Media), Pacific Magazines and Nine.

His prior stints include Macquarie Radio Network, Southern Cross Austereo, Fairfax Media and Ogilvy & Mather.

Speaking on Skulander, Lehmann said: “Zac is a highly engaged, results-focused media executive who has developed strong relationships across our business and within the media industry.”

“I’m sure he will play a major role in continuing The Australian’s growth as one of the nation’s most trusted media brands.”

Last month, News Corp rolled out a suite of new tracking, intent and attribution measurement features across its network of media channels, in addition to a new ecommerce integration.
