News Corp launches new ‘hyperlocal’ news personalisation initiatives after detailed research project

News Corp has rolled out updates to the way Australians can personalise their local news services, with the launch of My News Feed and My Local as part of new ‘hyperlocal’ technology.

The two new initiatives are part of a technology suite developed over the past year following a detailed research project by News Corp to discover what audiences from across Australia and the globe expected from news web, app and mobile sites.

They are aimed at improving how audiences receive their news on the things they care about most. Executive chairman Michael Miller said the initiatives build News Corp’s tradition of delivering audiences and commercial clients with the stories that matter.
