News Corp NSW head of sales moves to Nine
News Corp Australia’s former NSW sales head has announced his next move.
This week, Michael Desiere confirmed he has started at Nine in a newly-created partnerships role, where he will work with the network’s Nine Ad Manager platform.
A huge thank you to Michael Stephenson & Nick Young for entrusting me with this fantastic opportunity, and to my dear friend Todd Fisher for your huge support and guidance over the past few weeks – I couldn’t have asked for a better mentor,” Desiere wrote in a LinkedIn post this week.
“To my new teammates, Kalem Tini and Shireen Baker, thank you for the warm welcome to the Nine family!”
In June, Desiere announced his position as head of sales, NSW independent agencies and major direct at News Corp was made redundant; one of a number made by the company following the announcement of a major executive restructuring.
Other big name exits included Michael Wilkins, managing director of the company’s national sport brands, Marcus Hooke, general manager of print production, news.com.au’s editor-in-chief Lisa Muxworthy, and Editorial Innovation Centre director John McGourty.
