News Digital Media appoints Nicola Lewis as national sales director

Nicola Lewis has been handed the reigns to News Digital Media’s national sales operation. She replaces Danny Bass who joined Group M last year.

Lewis, who is promoted from NSW sales manager, will be responsible for display advertising across News Digital Media’s portfolio, which includes the websites of News Limited’s national, metro and regional newspapers.

News Digital Media’s commercial director, Tony Prentice, said: “Nicola has proven herself to be an outstanding and hands on leader of our NSW sales team. Her first class relationships in market and with our sites will ensure the ongoing success of the NDM sales team.”

“The recent inclusion of brands such as Body+Soul, AskMen and IGN into the NDM network, will ensure that we continue to deliver ongoing innovation to engaged audiences, through quality content, across multiple devices.”

Lewis joined News Digital Media as group sales manager in July 2009, and was promoted to NSW sales manager in July 2010.

Before News, Lewis was at Fairfax, which she joined in 2002. After a period working as national advertising manager she was appointed group sales manager of Herald Publications.

She began her career at Conde Nast UK in 1997, first in research and marketing, then sales. She joined News International’s sales team in 1999 working across The Sun and News of the World.
