News Mags’ Inside Out appoints Waller editor

News Magazines has drafted Vogue Living deputy editor Richard Waller to the role of editor of its lifestyle title Inside Out.

Waller’s appointment will see Karen McCartney, founding editor of Inside Out, focus on her position as the publisher’s group editorial director.

He will join the magazine on May 17 and report to News Magazines publisher of lifestyle titles, Mark Kelly. He will also work closely with McCartney.

Waller was previously managing editor of Black+White magazine and editor of The Weekender in Maroochydore and Noosa. He joined News Magazines in 2005 as chief sub-editor Vogue Living and was then promoted to deputy editor.

The publisher’s other lifestyle titles include Vogue Living, and Country Style.

Meanwhile, Inside Out last night celebrated its 10th anniversary at an event held in Sydney.
