Restoring the trustworthiness of the Murdoch name is the next pitch brief to be tackled on the ABC’s advertising show Gruen Planet.

The two agencies going head to head this week are newly launched agency Jim Jam Ideas and New Republique.
The other topics up for debate are crisis management, posing the question is all PR good PR? The show will also look at Pinktober, wondering whether the ‘pinking’ of products in the name of cause related marketing is a good idea.
Joining regulars Patts boss Russel Howcroft and Leo Burnett Sydney’s CEO Todd Sampson are Naked’s Adam Ferrier and Kim McKay from Momentum2.
The show will air tonight at 9pm on ABC1.
when will they feature a gun corporate and/or political PR panellist who knows something about the dark arts as opposed to the fluff?

They need to put on someone really smart and opinionated that can make a powerful argument that advertising and spin is evil. Not more self promoters. Bring forth a Gladiator.

I agree Sven.. however I think the reason they haven’t is the top notch crisis managers don’t want to be on the telly giving away how they go about it. But totally agree , seeing two ad dudes talk about managing a PR crisis is frustrating…
